There are several things that must be considered when purchasing a new marker. At a glance, the TM-7 has a sexy MIL-SIM appearance, but thats not what should be the determinate factor. *though it does help to look good Weightwise... I held one the other day at a paintball shop on route 17 and found it had a decent balance. One thing worth mentioning is it had a bit of "bulk" to it. Personally I like to use compact, low-profile equipment. Again... it goes back to personal preference. Another point to make is ease of access to bolt. It appeared that it would take some tools and time to reach it if needed. If under fire this could be an issue. Myself and the guys I run with tend to go for quick access, field strippable bolt set-ups instead. Also..... alot of people dont know this but, there is a "mini " under that mil-sim exterior. So, mechanically it should be a sound weapon with very minimal issues. They had issues at first production run, but that's with every gun. Now they are a respectable marker with very little problems I hear about. They do have a distinctive sound. Again, its all about what YOU feel is right ! What do you shoot now ? How much are you willing to spend ? I am looking at the new Dangerous Power G3 markers. They are actually chepaer than TM-7's by about 100 bucks. Light.... relatively quick.... simple design.... They can now use the L7 bolts and Virtue boards !! I can only imagine how lethal that is.

I would pass on the F8's. They are older tech; basically like a super-spyder.
I found a G3 L.E. version online that is two-tone. It was dubbed the " mil-sim " version. Wicked sexy bronze/green color. Going for 4 big ones !!!
Will have to wait after new year before making any moves on new gear.

i purchased the tm-7 when it was released, and like all markers, it had its bugs. Many of the internals are poorly made and are prone to breaking. and it sucks to clean. But dont let that deter you. It shoots like a dream and is extremely lightweight. balances very well with and without a tank. The full auto mode is fun but youll find yourself utilizing the iron sight in single shot. Its a fairly quiet gun, not a dm or ego quiet, but much quieter then a stock ion. i would reccomend it if you have experience with electronic guns. If i can get mine back by the third ill let you use it for a game and see how you like it.

The TM7's internal are based off the Mini. As one of the very few Mini driver's at the field, I'd have to say it's one of the best guns I've owned in 18 years of playing. It's very light weight, easy to maintain and has a low cost of ownership. Can shoot just as fast as the $1200.00 guns at a 4th of the price. With a good barrel (kit) it is very accurate. The only upgrade I have is a new board (APE) to tweak the efficiency of the marker. I had an NDZ Version 2 bolt for awhile, but it is highly unimpressive caused some small issues, but with long term use causes problems. I see not need for a improved bolt.

i say save the money and get a used 05 ego or a generation 3 intimidator you can find them for relatively cheap right now and can be used in any style of play, woodsball or airball. Both of them are solid guns and eventhough they are old both bob long and eclipse has great customer service.

Just offhand, I would recommend going to PBnation.com
Look under marker manufacturers by name and select your marker.
There should be a FAQ forum and other tech.
