The last couple times I have played at the field, I have overheard players comment on firebase 1.
More often the question is, " why aren't we playing here
instead ? "
As a regular, I can see why because of the latest installments to the field.
However, wouldn't it be better still, playing a game that incorporated elements of the primary/secondary towers and
Firebase 1 ?
Or perhaps a simple old-fashioned attack and defend firebase 1 scenario would be a refreshing throwback to the old glory days .
Sometimes a return to basics is best.

Robert,
People need to step up and tell Avery, not just mumble to themselves.
You are a day late and a dollar short of the Base 3 vs Base 1 game. Scenario was drawn up over a month ago, just need 40-50 players to show up to make it work well.
As far as old fashion fire base 1 game, just need the right mount of folks.

People often find Avery abit intimidating to approach with ideas as you know, hence the lack of feedback, so I am just voicing what is in the interest of others.
Also, this is after all a forum for which I believe ideas are encouraged for games; regardless of the number of individuals who have ideas, be they one or many people.
Being neither telepathic or precognitive, I would have no idea you had proposed the base 3 versus base 1 game.
Having said that; proposing the base versus base game idea before the next game day and or others with said idea would almost certainly reveal that I am quite punctual and sporting a fat money clip.
With regard to number of individuals for an old -fashioned firebase game, it would seem that if downed pilot could be played with far short a number, then firebase 1 most certainly could be played with fewer numbers, which incidentally has been done in long days past.

Yes, it is a place for offering opinions, suggestions and alike. But, since you are or were a bit more than the standard regular, you could safely assume we have several games proposed with different bases involved.
Yes, Avery can come across as not a very approachable person. I don't make up the numbers required, just pass along my master's ramblings!
There is suppose to be a large crowd this weekend, so I would "guess" a Firebase game of some nature would be one of the first 2 games of the day.
The staff is in discussion right now about a major modification to the field, that will make the Base 3 mod look like a simple addition. That is all I'll say!

Mental maybe, but we have all been given monikers at the field.
A few that describes yourself by others comes to mind rather quickly and often.
I don't know if I would use the word " assume", Curtis.
You are by all means welcome to, however there is a phrase that goes along with it. User beware!
Hmm..... mods to the field!!! Very nice.
I look forward to that. Thanks for the teaser.
