Erm, I'm not sure if this a law or something, but me and a bunch of friends were thinking of coming up to New Kent this spring to play airsoft. We're mainly comprised with full stock AEGs and long range sniper rifles, and after reading through your rules I have noticed a rule that states minors must wear full face goggles at all times. This has turned out to be a major inconvenience for us as full face masks (Including cut out ones) make it next to impossible to aim down the sight on AEGs (Extremely uncomfortable and sometimes painful) and almost completely impossible to use a sniper with scopes. Would it be possible to change this rule or is this some sort of law, as it makes the game very difficult to play short of giving everyone a spring pistol and BBs.

No it is not a law per say, it is an insurance rule and the owners personal belief in safety. Unfortunately, this rule will never be changed or relaxed for minors.
Also, we relaxed this rule for 18 and older after we researched other local fields that have the same rule. This was to maintain a continuity with other fields.
If the field you play at does not enforce minors wearing full face then they are violating their terms of insurance. If their insurance company ever catches wind of it they will pull their insurance and the field will loose their city business license to operate the field. If they continue to operate and become an "outlaw" and someone gets hurt then legal issue.
Just so we are clear what constitutes a full face mask; any mask or goggle similar to a JT Delta. The mask must cover the eyes (seal them from ball intrusion), mouth and ears.

Ah, well, we don't have a field we play at we play in the woods. I see how that is an issue with insurance, but I'll talk it over with my team, I mean insurance is insurance I understand that, but this may be an issue. I'll talk it over with our team. Is this rule for just walk ons or for both walk ons and like group schedualed events?

It is a field rule whether walk-on, special event or group reserved day.
If you look at most of the Airsoft fields in 100 mile radius of NKPG most require full face mask for minors. This is the difference between play as you do and play at a licensed field.

Alright. I see, We have a game soon so I'm going to talk to my mates and see what they think. I stopped by and talked to the owner on the 19th. A full face neoprene (hugs the face to allow cheek weld) is permitted with a pair of goggles that seal around the eyes. The key is mouth and ear protection to stop bbs from penetrating the mouth and ears. This is the example that was approved for now: www.neoprene-facemask.com/We are planning to go there tentatively on April 30th. Can your group join us?
